letter from home enjoyed Karate after which at 9′ o’ clock Grazia came round … really nice girl but then life’s full of disappointments I enjoyed myself in her company & conversation wasn’t as laborious as I had dreaded even though she didn’t give me the chance to take refuge behind frequent glasses of beer
