Saturday 27 September 1975: Outwell

stayed in the house and yard all day until this evening when I went over to Jean’s. She was there with Sue and her very quiet boyfriend Steve. We passed a not unpleasant evening and Sue promised to write to me at Cambridge. I shall hover over the pigeon-hole in eager anticipation of her letter.
