Fiona had expressed a wish to try guinea pig so we went to La Tulpa, but she had not expected the whole animal stretched out on the plate looking for all the world like a, well like a guinea pig, and only toyed with it, unable to bring herself to use her fingers to dismember.

Got a greasy fried breakfast cheap in the hospital canteen, sat about … cup of tea in Anna’s (the party-giver’s) room. Half went off orienteering, Ed Paul & I to Notting Hill to sit on a pub’ doorstep till midday. After one defeat regained my place on pool table for large part of the session

caught the 3.30 train to Norwich, playing Zesar all the way.
Called at Grace & Bob’s, on the road about 6.30, a quick pint in the Boundary then took buses as far as East Dereham. A cheap taxi there and we were in the village of Litcham, where Andy & Fiona married, by about 9.
