Saturday 26 April 1986: Clifton

My black eye’s almost invisible now, just as well since I’m back at work Monday. Still a gum numbness Wendy attributes to deadening of a nerve by force of the blow. Sounds a bit far fetched to me, anyway my gnashers still seem to work OK and feel solidly enough rooted in said gums still.

Monday 26 April 1976: Cambridge

Lunched with Bainbridge didn’t enjoy because wasn’t hungry (guts playing up all day again) Went tech. music dept. left a note in Chi Chi’s pigeon-hole. Didn’t do much else at all really. If I wasn’t so equable I think I’d kill myself. I’m certainly not enjoying life a hell of a lot at the moment.

A sad start to the day on Sir Francis Drake Drive, a squirrel too quick for me ran out under Pos I didn’t feel much impact if any but made the mistake of looking in the rearview mirror (something I very seldom do while motoring) and saw a furry form still on the road.

Caught 11 train arrived London ¾ hr. late. mad rush GG then out New Eltham to play 5 a side football wi Graham Paul Peter & Len … When I arrived they were already playing the 1st match which we won. Throughout p.m. played 5 games (W2 D1 L2) I was disappointing, didn’t even score.

Schlief bis Mittage. Am Nachmittag während Chris meine Hemde plättete ging in die Stadt Sah Min spielte Fuβball mit Dr Llewellyn und seine 2 Kindern eigentlich sein Sohn und dessen Freund. Blieb am Abend zu Hause Trank nichts.
