8e. Brian Stockins’ leaving do, upstairs then Mitre with Al, Mike & Michelle, Ray, Grahams … Paul Matthews, from whom won tenner on toss of a coin (actually he won it gave me double or quits I then took third leg too to end up up). Needed it for £14 taxi back home from Coventry.

Phoned Vivienne, she probably won’t be leaving until Wednesday on her tour if weather remains so glum so no chance meeting her Hamburg Tuesday… promised visit me late Sept. on her way to Wales but I’ll never trust in a woman’s oath.
